 "description": "<DIV STYLE=\"text-align:Left;\"><DIV><DIV><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 14 0;\"><SPAN>According to SECTION 2.127 SELECTED-AREA PLANS (SAP)of the <\/SPAN><A href=\"http://www.polk-county.net/compplan\"><SPAN>Polk County Comprehensive Plan<\/SPAN><\/A><SPAN>:<\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 14 0;\"><SPAN>A Selected-Area Plan (SAP) is a special, detailed land use plan for a specific area. An SAP shall include a land use map and accompanying objective and policies to provide special conditions, restrictions, or requirements for activities within the SAP. <\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 14 0;\"><SPAN>The Board of County Commissioners may choose to amend the Comprehensive Plan, in accordance with Section 163.3187, FS, to include within the Land Use Element a \"Selected-Area Plan,@with accompanying policies, for the study area, or a portion of the study area. Such adopted SAPs shall be a part of the Future Land Use Element and Future Land Use Map Series. See APPENDIX 2.131: \"Adopted Selected-Area Plans,@for specific SAPs.<\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 14 0;\"><SPAN>Additional policies throughout the Polk County Comprehensive Plan and Land Development Code provide guidance for development and preservation areas within a Selected Area Plan within the un-incorporated areas of Polk County. <\/SPAN><\/P><P STYLE=\"margin:0 0 14 0;\"><SPAN>This is one dataset used to create the \u201cPolk County Comprehensive Plan Map Series\u201d. It must be interpreted in conjunction with the other data and maps of the series along with the objectives and policies of the \u201cPolk County Comprehensive Plan\u201d as adopted and amended by the Polk County Board of County Commissioners.
